Anyone engaging in business or conducting business which includes but not limited to, the sale or offering of any goods, merchandise, rentals, or rendering of services to others must be licensed with Morgan City.

ALL BUSINESSES in Utah are required by law to register with the Utah Department of Commerce.  Businesses which should register with the division are: profit and non-profit corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships, general partnerships, sole proprietors who have an assumed name, business trusts, real estate investment trusts, and any other assumed business name. 

**There are exemptions, restrictions, and/or specific requirements for some business licenses. Please call or come in BEFORE submitting paperwork that we can ensure you are licensed correctly and as quickly as possible.

  • CIGARETTE &TOBACCO TAXES through the Utah State Tax Commission. Sale of tobacco products requires a license from the tax commission. https://tax.utah.gov/tobacco
